Go Meet Now is a fairly standard webinar service provider, but perhaps its most identifiable and unique feature – and potentially one of the most cost effective – is the option to “pay per person”. This essentially works by allowing you to pay a flat rate of $12.95 per month, which provides an online seminar for just 2 people. However, for just $1 more you can add another person, and you can do this as many times as you like. This makes it particularly useful for holding seminars throughout the year in which you might not always have the same number of participants and audience members. Say for example, you’re holding a seminar in January and only expect 50 audience members, but in April you’re hosting another seminar with 400. With GoMeetNow.com  you’ll only need to pay for however many “virtual seats” you need, month by month. It stops waste and allows you to tailor your seminar experience to the number of people you hope to have in attendance.

The other features of this site are relatively similar to those you’ll find elsewhere, including file sharing, audio connections to land lines, video options, polling and recording. It’s worth checking the full list of features on the website to help decide whether or not they’ll be useful to you. It’s also worth nothing that not all of the features are available for Mac users, which can be rather limiting in the modern workplace.  

The site recommends that if you need support, then your submit a support ticket, although they make no claims as to how long it takes to get back to you with an answer. A support phone line is also listed, though it’s not 24 hour and you may incur charges. Alternatively the site offers user manuals and a pretty miniscule FAQ. We’d like to have seen a live chat option, perhaps even a forum for people to share their information, and a much more extensive FAQ database.

Price-wise, GoMeetNow is a difficult one to judge because it all depends on how you use it. In a sense it’s good for smaller webinars because you can find cheaper options for larger groups of attendees elsewhere, but its minimum rate is quite competitive. The flexibility is an interesting feature, though, and you could combine the GoMeetNow.com service with another one, since contracts are only on a month-by-month basis.
