Would be a great service even if it wasn't free

Meeting Burner works great for our purposes. For now the free account gives us what we need, and it's the only webinar option we've found that offers a completely free account with no strings attached. It's easy to use for us and people joining our meetings, and offers several audio options. Since it's free we thought we'd probably have to deal with less than perfect service, but we've never had an issue with a meeting. It does what it says it will, and still doesn't cost us a dime. You can't beat free! One thing to point out is that we've never had to contact customer support, so I can't really rate them on that, but it required me to enter a rating for each category so I did.

In summary, I would recommend Meeting Burner to a friend.

As a premium MeetingBurner user, and an ex-user of both the two market leading webinar platforms, I felt it would be worth giving another view.

Good Points

- Loads quickly.
- Extremely well priced.
- Great customer service, both by email for day-to-day requests and phone.
- Cutting edge features - including the pretty unique meeting temperature check that helps identify the most popular, and least popular, sections of your webinars.
- Modern registration page compared to competitors.
- One-click recording option.
- Ability to swap presenters easily.
- "As live" webinar replay function effectively means you can be in two places at once.
- They listen - I called them to ask when customisable fields would be added to registration pages. Two weeks later this feature went live. I am sure they were already in their development queue before I called, but the fact remains that MeetingBurner continue to evolve and develop their system.

Bad Points

- US-only call bridge at the moment.
- Does take a little practice to start with.
- Missing a few advanced features e.g. polls, although I don't use these myself.

All in all, this compares very well to the competition, is more keenly priced, and the team at MeetingBurner seem to genuinely care about users of their products. (Read the full review)

Cheap, but not necessarily easy

My non-profit tested MeetingBurner and while on paper it seems like a decent option, in practice it's not very user-friendly and lacks the functionality, features and customer support we were looking looking for. For one, the moderator has to call a California number to start the webinar and to record the audio (ditto for presenters). This is clunky, as you have a phone to your head the whole webinar, which could be challenging if you're trying to moderate at the same time. A VOIP recording option would have made a big difference. The interface elements (Q&A, chat, screensharing window) are in different places and if you accidentally close the screensharing window, there is no way of reopening it without relaunching the software.

Although you just have to click a link to access the webinar, all of the staff who tested it still had to download/update Java, basically the same amount of work any other webinar software where you have to download an application.

The registration and feedback elements are very MeetingBurner branded heavy. Registrants get a registration invite which looks like it comes straight from MeetingBurner, not your organization, which can be confusing and misleading. Similarly, the survey option offered... (Read the full review)
